PROJECT DETAILS: A tip for those who live in builder-grade homes…. you don’t have to leave it that way! My client bought a really beautiful townhome in downtown Detroit, and her personality could not be further from builder-grade human (if that’s such a thing). So the main goal for the primary living space was to create a one-of-a-kind statement right when guests hit the top of the stairs. To achieve that, we wrapped the entirety of the kitchen island in vertical green tile slabs that felt organic and warm (think bougie bamboo!). She was also set to inherit a beautiful chinoiserie cabinet that fit perfectly next to her kitchen cabinets. Healthy doses of color, a touch of velvet, and a nice and cozy townhome was FOUND!
