EASTERN MARKET POWDER ROOM

PROJECT DETAILS: It is rare (not entirely impossible) but verrrry rare for a client to tell me “Christie… you can go a little weirder with the design”, and I cannot tell you how quickly that phrase makes me slide off my seat (in the most complimentary way, of course). We knew that wallpaper and wainscoting were the perfect combo pairing in this small powder room, but the level of contrast and moodiness just continued to get amped up the further we went into the creative phase. We landed on this wallpaper (which I happen to love so much that I had a swatch of it framed in my entryway years prior), and it was the most stunning place for it. Can I tell you how many bathrooms I wish had this much character on the walls? The answer is ALL OF THEM.
